I was a legal and medical secretary and executive PA prior to starting up my own business, Outsource-Typing, in 2011. I first heard about the concept of the “Virtual Assistant” on the radio in 2010. I have been working steadily over the last six years as a self-employed Virtual PA and running my own growing transcription service, which utilises the assistance of other self-employed Virtual PAs and Transcribers. Together we have built up a business that runs full-time and provides services to regular as well as ad hoc clients. I’ve never had to work as an employee for a “boss” for this entire time. Think about that; how great could that be if you could do the same?!
